Under the operating name Polferries, the company runs ferry routes between Poland and Scandinavia. Polferries is the largest Polish ferry operator.
In 1996, Polferries approved quality assurance system the International Safety Management Code (ISM).
In May 1997, the company was recognised as meeting the requirements of the Quality Management Certificate ISO 9002 .
In 1994, the Polish Baltic Shipping Company was transformed into a wholly owned company of the State Treasure and on 31st December 1992 the company became legally recognised as corporate body.

Polferries operates three ferries providing passenger and vehicle services on the following four routes:
1. m/f Pomerania on the route Œwinoujœcie-Copenhagen, Denmark
2. m/f Silesia on the route Œwinoujœcie-Ystad, Sweden
3. m/f Pomerania on the route Œwinoujœcie-Ronne, Denmark
4. m/f Scandinavia on the route Gdañsk-Nynäshamn, Sweden
We provide an additional ro-ro vessel on the line Œwinoujœcie-Ystad m/s Kahleberg since the 31st of March 2003.

Until 2001, Polferries had owned two ferry terminals in Poland, the Ferry Terminal in Gdañsk and the Ferry Terminal in Œwinoujœcie. Today, the Company runs the Ferry Terminal in Gdañsk.

The Polish Baltic Shipping Co, one of the leading Polish shipping companies, has gained considerable experience of providing consistent ferry services and as a tour operator offers a wide range of easy to book packages of holiday in Scandinavia. Polferries has been rewarded the honorary title of the Scandinavia guide.

The company has got its own net of seven Sea Travel Offices located in the biggest Polish cities (Warsaw, Wroc³aw, Poznañ, Szczecin, Gdynia, Œwinoujœcie and Ko³obrzeg).
