The major shareholder of LBS is DFDS A/S.



The company’s principal business is carriage of cargo and passengers by ferries and ships. LBS has 8 Ro-Ro/pax ferries and 6 multipurpose vessels. The company operates ferry lines Klaipeda-Kiel (Germany), Klaipeda-Sassnitz (Germany), and Klaipeda-Karlshamn (Sweden). The main cargoes carried on board the ferries are autotrailers, trailers, containers, MAFI trucks, and general cargoes.



The company pays special attention to the quality of services and safety (ISM certificate), cost and time effective carriage of customers’ cargoes, and improvement of rest conditions and comfort for drivers and passengers aboard the ferries.



Today the company and its subsidiaries employ more than 700 persons. LBS owns the major share capital in nine subsidiaries.
